Important: Vibrant Plate provides general wellness and nutrition guidance only. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat health conditions, and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly and data generated through your use of the app.
- Account information: email address and authentication credentials managed through Supabase Auth.
- Profile data: age, gender, height, weight, activity level, dietary goals, and allergies or intolerances you choose to share.
- Food logs and photos: meals you log, ingredients you search, and any photos you upload to track your nutrition.
- Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, and diagnostic data to help us improve the service.
- AI conversations: messages you exchange with the Vibrant Plate AI coach.
2. How we use your information
- Personalize your daily calorie and macro targets.
- Generate meal plans and grocery lists tailored to your preferences.
- Power AI coaching responses with context about your goals and history.
- Process subscription payments and manage your account.
- Send service emails like confirmations, password resets, and plan updates.
- Improve app performance and fix issues.
3. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to operate Vibrant Plate. Each has its own privacy policy and processes data only as needed to perform their function.
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
- OpenAI — powers the AI nutrition coach conversations and meal suggestions.
- Stripe — handles subscription billing and payment processing. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Lovable — provides the platform infrastructure on which Vibrant Plate runs.
4. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days. Some information may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days for security and compliance purposes, after which it is permanently deleted.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to certain uses of your data.

6. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics data is anonymized where possible.
7. Security
We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection, but we follow industry best practices to safeguard your information.
8. Children's privacy
Vibrant Plate is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. The latest version is always available at this page.
